What you get

Materials

Printed woven fabric in the Bloom print; sectioned poles or sprung frame as described; peg loops and sand flaps.

Care

Give the sail a shake to shift the sand, rinse the salt off with fresh water, and dry it right through in the shade before it goes back in the bag, never damp.

Pitching it

    Back to the wind

    Find where the wind comes from and turn the closed back of the tent or shade towards it.

  2. 2

    Open and stand it up

    Pop-ups spring open out of the bag; pole tents and shades take their poles first.

  3. 3

    Weigh it down

    Peg every loop, pile sand on the flaps or fill the corner pockets, and tension the guy lines. Pack it away when the wind picks up.
