FAQ
Answers about the prints, sizes, wind and sun, building a camp, currencies, payment, delivery and returns.

The prints
What are the prints?
VEYLISSEE is built around six original 1970s op-art prints. Helios is sunflower petals in vibrating rings, Ripple is off-centre rings, Swell is rolling three-colour wave stripes, Warp is a checkerboard bulging out, Bloom is a field of small sunflowers on diagonal stripes, and Spiral is twisting sun rays. They are printed onto woven fabric, so the print is part of the goods rather than a sticker or a transfer.
If I buy several pieces in the same print, will they match?
Yes, and that is the whole point: one camp, one print. A tent or shade, a windbreak, a blanket, a peg and sandbag kit and a flag in the same print are designed to sit together as one set, and to be recognisable from far down the beach when you are walking back with the cool box.
Which prints are available on which products?
The prints run across the range: beach tents and shades, windbreaks, beach blankets, camp flags, and the printed bags that come with the peg and sandbag kits. Each product page shows the prints that product comes in.
One camp, one print. Choose a print and a colourway, and everything you add to that camp matches.
Which colourways can I choose?
Three: Marigold (orange and mustard on cream), Lagoon (teal and mustard on cream) and Night Swim (cream, orange and mustard on deep teal).
Where did the prints come from?
The brand began with a windbreak printed with a sunflower op-art pattern, and the six prints grew from there. A matching camp turned out to be the useful part, so the print system now runs across the whole range.
Tents, shades and windbreaks
What sun protection rating do the shades have?
We do not give a UPF figure or any sun protection rating, and there is no percentage to quote. They are shade, which is a genuinely useful thing on a hot beach, but shade is not the same as sunscreen. Use sun cream as well, and keep an eye on children and anyone who burns easily.
How windy is too windy?
We do not publish a wind rating, because a figure on a page cannot account for the beach you are standing on. Set up with the back to the wind, peg and weigh down everything you can, check your camp during the day, and take the tents, shades, windbreaks and flags down once the wind picks up. Even a well-pegged windbreak is not a permanent structure, and nothing on the beach should be left up in strong wind.
Are they waterproof?
We make no waterproof or water-resistant claim for any of our products. They are made for daytime shade and shelter on the beach, so treat rain as a reason to pack up rather than something the fabric is designed to hold off.
Can I sleep in the tent?
No. Our beach tents and shades are for daytime shade on the beach, not for overnight camping. They are not designed for sleeping in, and we do not recommend leaving them up overnight.
What are they made of?
The fabric is printed woven fabric, the poles are sectioned and the pegs are moulded plastic. Detailed material information, including fibre content, is being confirmed with our supplier and is available on request — email support@veylissee.shop and we will tell you what we know for the product you are looking at.
Sizes and building a camp
How big is it, and will it fit us?
Every product page shows the size set up and the size packed, how many people it is for, a photo of it next to an adult and a drawing to scale. That is enough to check it against your own space before you order. Props used in the photos, such as towels, hats, loungers and books, are not included.
Are pegs included with the tents?
Check the “What you get” list on each product page — that is the definitive answer for that specific product. If you want more than the standard set, our peg and sandbag kits add sand pegs, sandbags, guy lines, corkscrew anchors or a mallet kit, each with a printed bag.
What is in the box?
The “What you get” list on the product page covers everything that ships, including the carry bag where one is included. It is worth a read before you order, particularly if you are buying several pieces to build one camp.
What does “Build a camp” do?
It picks the matching tent or shade, windbreak, blanket and peg and sandbag kit — plus a flag for a four-person camp — all in one print, and adds the whole set to your basket in one go. It saves you hunting through the shop for pieces that match. There is no set discount: a camp is simply the sum of its single prices.
How do I clean and dry them?
Shake off the sand, let everything dry fully before it goes back in the carry bag, and store it somewhere dry. Full instructions are on our care page.
Prices and currencies
How do I choose a currency?
The prices you see follow your delivery country, which you set at checkout. There is also a switcher in the dock on the site if you want to look at prices in another currency before you commit.
Why is every price shown with a currency code?
Because we sell in several countries, every price is shown with its ISO currency code — USD, GBP, EUR, DKK, SEK, NOK or CHF — so there is never any doubt about which currency you are looking at.
Is the price I see the final price?
Yes. Every price is a final price with no hidden additions; delivery is added at checkout, and possible import charges depend on your country rather than on us. Those are explained on our shipping page.
Do you run promotions or discounts?
No. We do not run promotions, we do not issue discount codes, and there is no free delivery offer. Coupons are switched off on the shop, so a code you find elsewhere will not work.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept, and is it safe?
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed by PCI DSS certified providers over HTTPS, and card numbers are never stored on our servers.
What will appear on my statement?
The statement descriptor is VEYLISSEE, so that is the name to look for on your card or bank statement.
Do you have discount codes?
No. There are no discount codes and no coupons. If you have seen a code somewhere claiming to work on our shop, it is not ours.
Delivery
How long does delivery take, and what does it cost?
Delivery is one flat tracked rate per order per country, added at checkout. Current rates and timings by country are listed on our shipping page. Long items such as windbreaks and cabanas may arrive in more than one parcel, at no extra cost to you.
When will my order be dispatched?
We dispatch within 1 to 3 business days, Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays. You will receive a dispatch email with a tracking number.
Is every order tracked?
Yes, every order is tracked, and the tracking number comes with your dispatch email. Where your parcel is shipped from is stated in that dispatch confirmation.
My order arrived in more than one parcel. Is that normal?
Yes, for long items. Windbreaks and cabanas may travel in more than one parcel, and it does not cost you anything extra. If part of your order has not arrived when the tracking suggests it should have, email us and we will look into it.
Will I have to pay customs or import charges?
Parcels crossing a customs border may incur import VAT, duties or carrier clearance fees set by the destination country, and these are payable by the recipient. Norway and Switzerland are outside the EU customs union, so orders there can attract such charges. If we know before dispatch that charges apply, we tell you and you may cancel free of charge.
Returns and withdrawal
How long do I have to return something?
You have 30 days from delivery to return unused items in their original condition — sand-free, dry and in the carry bag. Email support@veylissee.shop first and we will email you the return address. The registered office is not a returns address.
What is the 14-day right of withdrawal?
Consumers in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland have a 14-day right of withdrawal, which we offer voluntarily. You can use the electronic withdrawal function on our withdrawal page (“Withdraw from contract here”). We refund within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, and we may withhold the refund until the goods are back with us or you can show you have sent them. The standard delivery cost is refunded on withdrawal.
Changed your mind before dispatch? Cancelling is free — email support@veylissee.shop or use the withdrawal form on the withdrawal page.
Can I return a tent after using it on the beach?
You may handle goods as you would in a shop — setting a tent up once indoors to see how it works is exactly that. Handling beyond it, such as using a tent on the beach, goes further than you could in a shop, and we may deduct an amount for the diminished value, as the law allows. So the honest answer is: yes, you can send it back, but it will not be a full refund if it has been used on the sand.
How do I start a return?
Email support@veylissee.shop with your order number before sending anything. We will email you the return address and confirm the details. Return shipping is paid by you unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong thing. Full details are on our returns page.
What if something arrives faulty or wrong?
Your statutory rights apply, and we cover the cost of returning a faulty or incorrect item. Email us with your order number and a photo or two, and we will sort out a replacement or a refund.
