P-18Windbreak
Swell Windbreak, 5 Poles
Swell rolls its three colours wide in the middle, like a set coming in, so the camp reads as a band of moving stripe from down the beach. Five tall poles and four panels make a 150 cm screen with a sheltered side for four.

Pitching it
- 1
Read the wind
Stand with your back to the wind: the windbreak goes on that side of your camp.
- 2
Unroll and push in
Unroll it along the sand and push the first pole in deep, then walk along and push in the others, keeping the fabric taut.
- 3
Curve it round
Set it in a gentle curve around the blanket. In loose dry sand, push the poles in deeper.
