Ripple's off-centre rings stretch across one big sheet, pulled into a soft square sail, so the whole camp reads as a single printed shape from far off. Two upright poles and four sand-filled pockets hold it open on all sides for four people.

The details

What you get

  • Two upright poles, four sand-pocket corners
  • Open on all sides for air; room for four
  • Fill the corner pockets with sand, no pegs needed
  • Packs into a shoulder bag; 300 × 300 cm, 190 cm high

Materials

Printed woven fabric in the Ripple print; sectioned poles or sprung frame as described; peg loops and sand flaps.

Care

Shake the sand off, rinse away salt with fresh water, dry it fully in the shade before folding, and never pack it wet.

  • No sun protection ratings: we do not give a UPF or any other sun protection figure for any piece. Shade is shade; keep using sun cream.
  • No wind ratings: no product is sold as wind-proof or storm-proof. Pack everything away when the wind gets strong.
  • No waterproof claims for tents, shades or blankets.

Pitching it

    Back to the wind

    Find where the wind comes from and turn the closed back of the tent or shade towards it.

  2. 2

    Open and stand it up

    Pop-ups spring open out of the bag; pole tents and shades take their poles first.

  3. 3

    Weigh it down

    Peg every loop, pile sand on the flaps or fill the corner pockets, and tension the guy lines. Pack it away when the wind picks up.
